Ground Beef Mixture:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 tablespoon salsa or hot sauce
Shell:
- 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough or mini phyllo shells (about 24 pieces)
Garnish:
- Chopped green onions and diced tomatoes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ground beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned. Drain excess grease.
- Season the beef: Stir in taco seasoning, ranch seasoning, and water. Cook for 1–2 minutes.
- Add cheeses and salsa: Remove from heat and mix in cream cheese, cheddar, Monterey Jack, and salsa until melted.
- Prepare the shells: If using crescent dough, cut into squares and press into a mini muffin tin. If using phyllo shells, place on a baking sheet.
- Fill and bake: Spoon the beef mixture into each dough cup or shell. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.
- Garnish and serve: Cool slightly, then garnish with green onions and tomatoes before serving.
