Description

These Taco Ranch Bites are a savory and satisfying appetizer that combines the flavors of seasoned ground beef, creamy cheeses, and zesty ranch, all nestled in a crispy bite-sized shell. Perfect for parties or game day gatherings!

Ingredients

Scale

Ground Beef Mixture:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 tablespoon salsa or hot sauce

Shell:

  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough or mini phyllo shells (about 24 pieces)

Garnish:

  • Chopped green onions and diced tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Season the beef: Stir in taco seasoning, ranch seasoning, and water. Cook for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Add cheeses and salsa: Remove from heat and mix in cream cheese, cheddar, Monterey Jack, and salsa until melted.
  5. Prepare the shells: If using crescent dough, cut into squares and press into a mini muffin tin. If using phyllo shells, place on a baking sheet.
  6. Fill and bake: Spoon the beef mixture into each dough cup or shell. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.
  7. Garnish and serve: Cool slightly, then garnish with green onions and tomatoes before serving.

Notes

  • These bites can be made ahead and reheated.
  • For a spicier version, add jalapeños or pepper jack cheese.
  • Perfect for game day, potlucks, or party appetizers.
