For the Dip:
- 8 oz container of mushrooms, roughly chopped
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 large scoop minced garlic (about 1 tablespoon)
- 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- Pepper, to taste
- Garlic herb seasoning, to taste
For the Topping:
- 1/2 cup Italian panko bread crumbs
- 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Cook Mushrooms: Heat a medium to high heat pan and add the roughly chopped mushrooms along with 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter.
- Add Garlic: After cooking the mushrooms for a couple of minutes, add the minced garlic, tossing everything together thoroughly.
- Finish Sautéing: Continue cooking the mixture for another couple of minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant, then set aside to cool.
- Prepare Cheese Mixture: In a separate bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded Parmesan cheese, and season with pepper and garlic herb seasoning to taste.
- Combine Mushroom Mixture: Mix the cooked mushrooms into the cream cheese mixture until well incorporated.
- Assemble Dip: Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan and pour the combined mushroom-cheese mixture evenly into it.
- Prepare Topping: In a small bowl, mix the Italian panko bread crumbs with the grated Parmesan cheese.
- Add Topping: Sprinkle the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture evenly over the top of the dip in the pan.
- Drizzle Butter: Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the breadcrumb topping for extra crispiness and flavor.
