  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

  1. Melt Butter: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Create Roux: Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
  3. Add Cream and Milk: Slowly whisk in the milk and heavy cream until smooth.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Add the corn, sugar, salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using. Simmer for 8–10 minutes.
