Tart Shell:

Frangipane Filling:
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
Cherry Topping:
- 1 1/2 cups sour cherries (fresh or frozen, pitted and drained)
- 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Make Frangipane: Cream together butter and sugar, beat in eggs, add almond extract, salt, almond flour, and all-purpose flour.
- Fill Tart Shell: Spread frangipane in pre-baked shell, press cherries on top, sprinkle with turbinado sugar.
- Bake: Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and set.
