Description

Enjoy a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main course with these Savory Delight French Dip Sliders. Featuring tender deli roast beef, melted provolone cheese, and a flavorful butter and mustard glaze, all baked to golden perfection and served with a rich homemade au jus dipping sauce. Perfect for game days, parties, or quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls, sliced
  • 1 pound deli roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Au Jus

  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Assemble Sliders: Place the bottom halves of the slider buns evenly in the baking dish. Layer the thinly sliced roast beef over the buns, then add a slice of provolone cheese on top of the beef. Cover with the remaining buns to form sliders.
  3. Prepare Butter Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, and chopped fresh parsley if using. Brush this flavorful mixture evenly over the top of the slider buns to enhance taste and create a golden finish.
  4. Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the cheese to start melting.
  5. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 to 7 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  6. Prepare Au Jus: While the sliders bake, whisk the au jus gravy mix into 2 cups of water in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sauce is heated through and slightly thickened, perfect for dipping.
  7. Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven and serve warm with the prepared au jus sauce on the side for dipping each slider to taste.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, lightly toast the bottom buns in the oven or on a skillet before assembling.
  • Swiss cheese can be used as a delicious substitute for provolone for a different flavor.
  • These sliders are ideal for game day, parties, or quick and easy weeknight meals.
