Description

These Philly Cheese Steak Burgers combine the flavors of a classic Philly cheesesteak sandwich with juicy burger patties, gooey cheese, and savory sautéed vegetables, all piled high on a toasted bun. A delicious twist on a traditional favorite!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Burger Patties:

  • pounds ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For the Toppings:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Optional: mayonnaise, ketchup, or steak sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Burger Patties: In a large bowl, mix ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
  2. Sautéed Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a skillet, add onions, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Cook until caramelized.
  3. Cooking the Patties: Grill or pan-fry patties for 4–5 minutes per side. Top with provolone cheese to melt.
  4. Assemble: Place the cheesy patty on a bun, top with sautéed vegetables, and add desired sauces. Serve.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add sautéed jalapeños or use pepper jack cheese.
  • Ground chuck or sirloin can be used for juicier burgers.
  • Pair with seasoned fries or onion rings for a delicious meal.
