Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 5 1/2 cups mini marshmallows (or 1 bag)
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
Toppings
- 8 oz white chocolate (melted)
- 20 candy eyeballs (or mini chocolate chips)
Instructions
- Melt Butter and Marshmallows: Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Mix in Cereal: Remove the saucepan from heat. Quickly mix in the Rice Krispies cereal, making sure all the cereal is evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
- Press into Pan: Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan, then press the mixture evenly into the pan. Allow it to cool for about 10 minutes so it firms up for decorating.
- Melt White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in short bursts, stirring between, until smooth and pourable.
- Decorate as Mummies: Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the cooled treats in mummy bandage patterns. While the chocolate is still wet, place candy eyeballs on top to create the mummy’s eyes. Let the chocolate set completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Use mini marshmallows for best texture and even melting.
- Greasing the pan well helps to remove the treats easily without sticking.
- You can substitute candy eyeballs with mini chocolate chips if unavailable.
- Work quickly when mixing cereal with marshmallows since the mixture hardens as it cools.
- For easier cutting, use a buttered knife or spray the knife with cooking spray.
