Ingredients
Scale
Pancake Batter
- 2 cups pancake batter (prepared from your favorite recipe or pancake mix)
Toppings and Decorations
- 2 bananas, sliced into thick coins
- 8 raspberries
- 8 strips cooked bacon
- Butter, to serve (optional)
- Syrup, to serve (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Batter: Mix your pancake batter according to your recipe or package instructions. Let it rest for a few minutes to ensure fluffier pancakes.
- Heat the Cooking Surface: Preheat a griddle or non-stick skillet over medium heat until hot.
- Cook the Pancakes: Pour the batter onto the griddle to form 4–5 inch round pancakes. Cook until bubbles form on top and edges are set, then carefully flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
- Keep Pancakes Warm: Remove cooked pancakes and set aside, keeping them warm while preparing the rest.
- Cook the Bacon Antlers: Cook bacon strips until crisp, then drain on paper towels. Shape each strip into a “V” or gentle twist to mimic reindeer antlers.
- Slice the Bananas: Peel and slice bananas into thick rounds to create the reindeer eyes.
- Assemble the Pancakes: Place two pancakes side by side on each serving plate.
- Add Bacon Antlers: Insert two bacon strips at the top of each pancake to represent antlers.
- Place the Eyes: Add two banana slices on each pancake as eyes. Optionally, place a blueberry or chocolate chip in the center of each banana slice for pupils.
- Add the Nose: Position a raspberry below the eyes on each pancake to resemble a reindeer nose.
- Serve: Serve the pancakes warm with butter and syrup if desired.
Notes
- Use crispy bacon to ensure the antlers hold their shape.
- You can substitute raspberries with strawberries or cherries if preferred.
- For a more festive look, add chocolate chips as pupils on banana eyes.
- Keep cooked pancakes warm by placing them in a low oven (around 200°F) if preparing in batches.
