Description

Kunafa Nests:

  • 200g kunafa dough (kataifi pastry, thawed)
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter

Sugar Syrup:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon rose water
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Additional Ingredients:

  • 1012 mini gulab jamuns (store-bought or homemade)
  • Crushed pistachios for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin or mini tart molds.
  2. Prepare Kunafa Nests: Pull apart the kunafa dough and toss with melted butter. Press into muffin cavities and bake until golden brown.
  3. Make Sugar Syrup: Boil sugar and water, then add rose water, cardamom, and lemon juice. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  4. Assemble: Drizzle baked nests with syrup, place a gulab jamun in each, drizzle more syrup, and garnish with pistachios.
  5. Serve: Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Enhance the syrup with saffron or orange blossom water.
  • Kunafa nests can be made ahead and assembled just before serving.
