Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides.
- Sear the chicken: In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 2–3 minutes on each side until lightly golden but not cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Prepare the glaze: Lower the heat and add minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until fragrant. Stir in brown sugar and red pepper flakes. Cook until the sugar melts into a glaze.
- Bake: Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning glaze over the top. Bake for 15–20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- Finish and serve: Remove from the oven, spoon more sauce over the top, and garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in a mixture of olive oil, garlic, and brown sugar for 1 hour before cooking.
- This recipe also works well with chicken thighs.
