Ingredients
Scale
Potatoes
- 2 large russet potatoes, thinly sliced (about 1/8 inch thick)
Seasoning & Oil
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional Garnishes
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F and allow it to preheat to ensure even cooking.
- Prepare Potatoes: In a large bowl, toss the thinly sliced potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper until all slices are evenly coated with the seasoning.
- Arrange Slices: Place the potato slices in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. If necessary, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding, which ensures crispiness.
- Air Fry: Cook the potatoes for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping them halfway through to promote even browning and crisping on both sides. During the last 2 minutes, sprinkle the slices with grated Parmesan cheese if using.
- Finish and Serve: Remove the crispy potato slices from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a fresh, vibrant finish. Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra crispy potato slices, soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before cooking, then pat dry thoroughly to remove excess moisture.
- Try substituting russet potatoes with sweet potatoes for a naturally sweeter variation.
