Scale
Liquids
- 1 bottle (750 ml) rosé wine
- 1 cup elderflower liqueur
- 1 cup club soda
Fruits
- 1 ½ cups cubed watermelon
- 1 ½ cups cubed cantaloupe
Herbs
- 10 mint leaves, plus additional for garnish
Instructions
- Muddle the Mint: Place the 10 mint leaves in a large pitcher and gently muddle them to release their essential oils and flavor.
- Mix Wine and Liqueur: Pour the entire bottle of rosé wine and 1 cup of elderflower liqueur over the muddled mint leaves, stirring well to combine the flavors.
- Add Fruit: Add the cubed watermelon and cantaloupe into the pitcher, stirring gently to integrate without breaking the fruit.
- Chill Sangria: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 8 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the sangria to fully chill.
- Prepare to Serve: Before serving, remove the mint leaves from the sangria to avoid bitterness.
- Add Club Soda and Garnish: Stir in 1 cup of club soda for a bit of sparkle. Serve the sangria over ice and garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves.
Notes
- For best flavor, prepare the sangria the night before serving and allow it to chill for a full 8 hours.
- You can substitute the club soda with sparkling water or lemon-lime soda depending on your sweetness preference.
- Feel free to add other complementary fruits such as sliced strawberries or oranges for extra flavor and color.
- Make sure to use fresh, ripe fruits to get the best taste and natural sweetness.
