Description

This Easy Taco Bake Recipe is a delicious and satisfying meal that the whole family will love. With flavorful seasoned ground beef, black beans, corn, and gooey cheddar cheese, all baked together in a crispy crescent roll crust, it’s a comforting dish perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale

Ground Beef Mixture:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup corn kernels, frozen or canned
  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained

Additional Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • Sour cream, chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sliced green onions for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook the ground beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add seasoning and veggies: Stir in taco seasoning and water. Add black beans, corn, and diced tomatoes. Cook until heated through.
  4. Prepare the crust: Press crescent roll dough into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish to form a crust.
  5. Assemble: Spoon the taco mixture over the dough. Top with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Serve: Let cool slightly before slicing. Serve with sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, and green onions.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken.
  • For a spicier kick, add jalapeños or use hot taco seasoning.
  • Leftovers reheat well and make a great next-day lunch.
