Description

These Cheesy Garlic Butter Rollups are an irresistible appetizer featuring crescent roll dough filled with melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, brushed with a flavorful garlic butter mixture, and baked to golden perfection. Perfect for parties or as a savory side dish, they are served warm with optional marinara dipping sauce for an extra burst of flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough and Cheese

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Garlic Butter Mixture

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)

Serving

  • Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even baking.
  2. Make Garlic Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter with minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and Italian seasoning if using. Stir well to blend the flavors.
  3. Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough from the can and separate it into 8 individual triangles for rolling.
  4. Brush and Cheese: Lightly brush each dough triangle with the garlic butter mixture, then evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over each piece for a cheesy filling.
  5. Roll Up: Roll each triangle up tightly starting from the wide end and place each rollup with the point-side down on the prepared baking sheet to hold its shape during baking.
  6. Final Brush and Bake: Brush the tops of the rollups with the remaining garlic butter mixture, then bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes or until the rollups are golden brown and the cheeses have melted.
  7. Cool and Serve: Let the rollups cool slightly for a few minutes before serving warm. Offer marinara sauce on the side for dipping if desired.

Notes

  • Swap in shredded cheddar or provolone cheese for a different flavor profile.
  • Add a slice of pepperoni or ham inside each rollup for a more indulgent snack.
  • These rollups make a perfect party snack or a tasty side dish alongside pasta dishes.
