Description

Indulge in the ultimate fusion of flavors with these Carne Asada Fries. Crispy fries topped with marinated steak, gooey cheese, creamy guacamole, fresh pico de gallo, and more – a Mexican-inspired delight!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Carne Asada:

  • 1 lb flank or skirt steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Fries:

  • 1 bag (about 26 oz) frozen French fries or homemade fries
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1/2 cup guacamole
  • 1/2 cup pico de gallo or diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Steak: Whisk together olive oil, lime juice, garlic, cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Bake the Fries: Preheat oven and bake fries until crispy. Cook the marinated steak on a grill or skillet. Let it rest and slice thinly.
  3. Assemble: Top fries with cheese, broil until melted. Add sliced carne asada, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, cilantro, and green onions. Serve.

Notes

  • Customize toppings with jalapeños, cotija cheese, or black beans.
  • For airier fries, use an air fryer.
  • Pair with Mexican rice or grilled corn for a complete meal.
