Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 box cake mix (15.25 oz)
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup vegetable oil
Add-Ins (Optional)
- 1 cup for large add-ins (such as baking chips or candies)
- ½ cup for smaller add-ins (such as sprinkles or finely chopped nuts)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s ready for baking the cookies evenly.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil. Beat the mixture until everything is fully incorporated and smooth. Then gently fold in your choice of add-ins such as sprinkles, nuts, or chocolate chips to evenly distribute them throughout the dough.
- Portion Dough: Using a spoon or portion scoop, drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Be sure to space the cookies about an inch apart to allow for spreading during baking.
- Bake Cookies: Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10 to 13 minutes, or until the edges start to turn a light golden color. This indicates they are perfectly baked but still soft inside.
- Cool Cookies: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cookies rest for 2 to 3 minutes so they firm up slightly. Then transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a softer cookie, bake closer to 10 minutes; for a firmer cookie, bake up to 13 minutes.
- You can substitute vegetable oil with melted butter for a richer flavor.
- Feel free to experiment with different cake mix flavors for varied cookie tastes (chocolate, yellow, red velvet, etc.).
- Add-ins like nuts can be toasted beforehand for extra crunch and flavor.
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
