- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Topping Ingredients
- 1 cup Original Bisquick mix
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the pot pie.
- Mix Filling: In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, frozen mixed vegetables, chopped onion, chicken broth, and cream of chicken soup. Stir in salt and black pepper until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Prepare Pie Dish: Grease a 9-inch pie dish or baking dish and pour the chicken mixture evenly into it, spreading it out smoothly.
- Make Topping Batter: In a separate bowl, whisk together the Bisquick mix, milk, and egg until you achieve a smooth batter consistency.
- Top Filling: Pour the Bisquick batter evenly over the chicken and vegetable mixture in the pie dish, covering the entire surface.
- Bake: Place the pie dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the topping turns golden brown and a toothpick inserted into it comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the pot pie from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving to allow the filling to set slightly.
Notes
- You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience and quicker preparation.
- Feel free to add sautéed mushrooms or celery to the filling for extra flavor and texture.
- To make the filling creamier, stir in 2 tablespoons of sour cream into the chicken mixture before baking.
