Ingredients
Scale
Beef Mixture
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Wraps
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup pickles, sliced
- 1/4 cup Big Mac sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Sauté Onions: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté for about 2 minutes until softened and translucent, which brings out their sweetness.
- Cook Ground Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet with onions, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Brown the beef evenly over 7-8 minutes until fully cooked and no longer pink.
- Season Beef: Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Continue cooking for an additional 2 minutes to blend the flavors thoroughly, then remove the skillet from heat.
- Warm Tortillas: While the beef mixture cools slightly, warm the tortillas so they become soft and pliable. This can be done in a dry skillet over medium heat or in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds.
- Assemble Wraps: Spread about a tablespoon of Big Mac sauce in the center of each tortilla. Then layer with shredded lettuce, the cooked beef mixture, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced pickles, and mozzarella cheese. Make sure to distribute ingredients evenly for a balanced flavor in every bite.
- Roll Wraps: Fold the sides of each tortilla inward and then roll tightly to enclose all the fillings securely, creating a neat wrap.
- Toast Wraps: Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Place each wrap seam side down and toast for 2-3 minutes per side until the tortilla is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese starts to melt inside.
- Serve: Remove from the skillet, slice each wrap in half for easy eating, and serve immediately while warm and crispy.
Notes
- For a homemade Big Mac sauce, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, finely chopped pickles, garlic powder, onion powder, and a splash of vinegar.
- You can substitute flour tortillas with whole wheat or low-carb tortillas for a healthier option.
- To keep wraps warm before serving, cover with foil or place in a warm oven at low temperature.
- Optional additions include sliced tomatoes or onions for extra freshness.
- Leftover wraps can be reheated in a skillet for best texture retention instead of microwave.
