Description

A hearty and creamy Beef and Bowtie Pasta with Alfredo Sauce recipe that combines tender ground beef with al dente bowtie pasta smothered in a rich, flavorful Alfredo sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner, this dish is seasoned with garlic and onion powder to enhance the savory flavors and garnished with fresh parsley for a touch of color and freshness.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 12 oz bowtie pasta

Beef and Sauce

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  2. Brown Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef by breaking it up as it cooks for 6–8 minutes until fully cooked through and no pink remains.
  3. Season Beef: Season the cooked beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir well to combine all the seasonings evenly throughout the meat.
  4. Add Alfredo Sauce: Reduce the heat to low, pour in the Alfredo sauce, and simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until the sauce is warmed through and mingled with the beef flavors.
  5. Toss Pasta with Sauce: Add the cooked bowtie pasta directly into the skillet with the beef and sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. If the sauce appears too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water or milk to thin it out to desired consistency.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish the pasta with chopped parsley for freshness and serve hot immediately for best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use a low-fat or homemade Alfredo sauce.
  • Fresh parsley adds a pop of color but can be omitted if unavailable.
  • Reserve some pasta cooking water before draining to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
  • Ensure ground beef is fully cooked to a safe internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  • This dish pairs well with a simple green salad or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
