Description
A hearty and creamy Beef and Bowtie Pasta with Alfredo Sauce recipe that combines tender ground beef with al dente bowtie pasta smothered in a rich, flavorful Alfredo sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner, this dish is seasoned with garlic and onion powder to enhance the savory flavors and garnished with fresh parsley for a touch of color and freshness.
Ingredients
Scale
Pasta
- 12 oz bowtie pasta
Beef and Sauce
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups Alfredo sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- Brown Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef by breaking it up as it cooks for 6–8 minutes until fully cooked through and no pink remains.
- Season Beef: Season the cooked beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir well to combine all the seasonings evenly throughout the meat.
- Add Alfredo Sauce: Reduce the heat to low, pour in the Alfredo sauce, and simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until the sauce is warmed through and mingled with the beef flavors.
- Toss Pasta with Sauce: Add the cooked bowtie pasta directly into the skillet with the beef and sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. If the sauce appears too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water or milk to thin it out to desired consistency.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish the pasta with chopped parsley for freshness and serve hot immediately for best flavor and texture.
Notes
- For a lighter version, use a low-fat or homemade Alfredo sauce.
- Fresh parsley adds a pop of color but can be omitted if unavailable.
- Reserve some pasta cooking water before draining to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
- Ensure ground beef is fully cooked to a safe internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- This dish pairs well with a simple green salad or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
