Ingredients
Scale
Ravioli
- 1 (9-ounce) package refrigerated cheese ravioli
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 3/4 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Olive oil spray
- Marinara sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and allow it to preheat while you prepare the ravioli.
- Coat Ravioli in Buttermilk: Place the refrigerated ravioli in a shallow bowl and gently pour the buttermilk over them. Toss carefully to ensure each piece is evenly coated without breaking the ravioli.
- Prepare the Breadcrumb Mixture: In a separate bowl, combine the Italian-style breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Mix these ingredients thoroughly for a flavorful coating.
- Dredge Ravioli in Breadcrumbs: Dip each buttermilk-coated ravioli into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to make sure the coating sticks evenly on all sides.
- Arrange in Air Fryer Basket: Lay the breaded ravioli in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap to promote even cooking and maximum crispiness.
- Spray with Olive Oil: Lightly spray the arranged ravioli with olive oil to help achieve a golden, crunchy crust during air frying.
- Air Frying: Cook the ravioli in the air fryer for 6 to 8 minutes. Halfway through cooking, carefully flip each ravioli piece to ensure they become golden and crispy on both sides.
- Serve: Remove the crispy ravioli from the air fryer and serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
- You can use frozen ravioli; just be sure to thaw it completely before breading to achieve the best texture.
- For a spicier bite, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the breadcrumb mixture.
