Ingredients
Scale
Chicken Mixture
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Wraps
- 4 large flour tortillas (8–10 inch)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a blend of cheddar and mozzarella)
- Nonstick cooking spray
Optional for Serving
- 1/4 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken with the hot sauce and melted butter, stirring until all the chicken is evenly coated in the spicy sauce.
- Assemble the wraps: Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean surface. Evenly sprinkle shredded cheese over each tortilla. Divide the hot chicken mixture evenly and place it over the cheese on each tortilla. Carefully roll each tortilla tightly into a wrap, folding in the sides as you roll to secure the filling inside.
- Prepare the air fryer: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking. Place the wraps seam side down in the basket in a single layer, ensuring there is space between each wrap for air circulation.
- Air fry the wraps: Set the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and cook the wraps for 8 to 10 minutes. Flip the wraps halfway through cooking to ensure even browning. Continue cooking until the wraps are golden brown, crispy on the outside, and the cheese inside is melted.
- Serve: Remove the wraps carefully from the air fryer and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Slice each wrap in half and serve warm with ranch or blue cheese dressing on the side for dipping if desired.
Notes
- For an even crispier exterior, lightly brush the wraps with a small amount of oil before air frying.
- Add sliced jalapeños, onions, or fresh spinach inside the wraps for additional flavor and texture.
- These wraps can be made ahead of time, stored in the refrigerator, and reheated in the air fryer for best results.
